Dan started his career in the retail industry, spending seven years as a district and regional manager, before founding Farrell & Farrell, Inc in 1996. As CEO of Farrell & Farrell, Inc. he started Sign USA, a wholesale sticker and sign company that sold to companies including RCC, Target, Champion Auto and Graceland. Dan sold this division to another corporation in 2002. 

Dan oversaw the sales and marketing of 2nd Wind’s and UnderDeck’s joint venture of MN UnderDeck and was an executive with Pamida stores. As an avid student of human nature, it was while he was working with these companies that he saw an adherent need for better hiring practices and Started Genesis Assessments in 2007 to address these needs. As Dan worked with his clients he saw additional needs and issues small business face and founded Congo SBA. Congo SBA is a resource of professionals that can help solve almost any business issue one might face.

Dan is a partner with Profiles International and the founder and CEO Farrell & Farrell, Inc., which companies include Genesis Assessments, Congo SBA and Carla Farrell - VOA. Together they provide employment evaluation, small business management and consulting. Whether the need is to reduce employee turnover, provide leadership training and development or seek to solve employee or organizational related challenges, We have the employee training, management, and hiring tools to help you succeed.

Dan is an active member of various community organizations such as the Sioux Falls Chamber of Commerce, Toastmasters, Optimist International, Association of Training and Development (ASTD) and Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM). Dan is also active at Mercy Church. A native of the Fargo / Moorhead area, he holds a degree in Sales Management.
